For the first time, the Merrymeeting Arts Center has two sculptures by the late Bryce Muir for sale. Donated by his family, each piece costs $1500. All proceeds will benefit the arts center which was established in his honor.
Both sculptures are wooden bas-relief that hang on the wall. The first is “Gorgon.” The second is “Snow Walker” a mythic piece that shows Bryce’s interest in dance and the seasons. The sculptures are finished with simple mineral oil which can be renewed twice a year or so.
Many more of Bryce Muir’s sculptures and paintings are on exhibit in the arts center. More can be viewed on his website brycemuir.com
