Sunday July 22 from 1- 4 pm will be the “Bryce Wooden Portrait Reunion,” the unique opportunity to see over 25 of Bryce’s wooden portrait pieces with their models. This one time exhibit will bring together pieces done over a twenty year period with their models in the flesh. There will also be a display of his portraits of American Icons such as Babe Ruth, John Brown, Margaret Mead as well as portraits of people now gone (whose photographs will accompany these pieces). The one day exhibit at the Bowdoinham Town Hall on the hill will be $5 apiece for entry, a fundraiser for the arts center. Tom O’Donovan of Harbor Square Gallery in Rockland will moderate a discussion of Bryce’s portrait sculptures. A short film done on Bryce by Mark Ireland will also be shown.
