This year’s show “Vernal Ponds and Fairy Shrimp” celebrates one of three distinctive species in our
transitory pools. Fairy Shrimp are a whimsical and interesting resident of the ponds. We encourage
young artists to represent them in any medium. See photos at jeremybiggs.wordpress.com
Artwork should be exhibition ready if possible ( artwork can be pinned up). The arts center will also
offer technical support and materials to young artists needing to mat/frame/display/describe their
artwork. All artwork should have a firmly attached label on the back with the name of the artist,
medium (ex. watercolor on paper, clay, oil pastel, graphite etc),title and price (or “NFS” if not for sale).
Artwork should be submitted on or before April 5th. It can be dropped off at the center on April
5th from 10am-1 pm. Do not drop off the artwork unless the center is open.
The exhibit will run from April 11 to June 6, 2014 with an Opening on Friday April 11 from 5-7 pm.
Young artists are expected to be at the opening to answer questions andf explain their artistic process.
