Summer Arts Camp, Week 4: Letterboxing

Kate Cutko, Bowdoinham’s fearless librarian, will be sharing her love of letter boxing with us this week at Summer Arts Camp.  Letterboxing is a treasure hunt.  It is similar to geocaching, but it is low-tech.  As a fan of letter boxing, I love the clues, the stamps you find, and the chance to visit new spots that you might not have discovered otherwise.  Kate has carved two stamps and will be leading us to find two new letterboxes that she has placed just for us. Kids should wear good walking shoes.  For more information about Merrymeeting Art Center’s Summer Arts Camp, visit here.

Last week, we had a small number for making fairy houses, and since it looked like rain, we set up in the gazebo and made fairies.  It was a beautiful morning after all!
